Julie Michaels is the founder and studio owner of Ray Pilates, a boutique Pilates studio in Toronto. She began practising Pilates while working in the film industry in Los Angeles and fell in love with the exercise that emphasized core strength and proper biomechanics. After completing her mat and equipment intensive at Body Harmonics, Toronto in 2009, she opened up her own studio. Her clients are a diverse population that include those with acute injuries and conditions along with athletes and postpartum Mom’s. Julie prides herself in helping her clients to reach their personal fitness goals, however small or big they may be, by making functional fitness fun and accessible. She continues to hone her skills by continuing her education with courses for the spine, hip and shoulders from Balanced Body University, California. Julie’s ultimate goal is that her clients take ownership of their body and make positive lifestyle changes that improve their posture, strength and stamina.
